"We See You" Creative Writing & Mentoring Program

The Elise Woodson Scholarship award is given to The “We See You” (WSY) Creative Writing & Mentoring Program participants.

 

The participants must show full dedication and participation. Student works will be judged by “WSY” Scholarship Committee. All participants’ works will be published in the corresponding volume of Snapshots: High School Edition. Students who participate fully will also be eligible to receive the scholarship.

 

Our intent is for Snapshots: Student Edition to be a medium for the publication of young writers. Please join us in support of our mission to assist youth in their academic endeavors.

The Elise Woodson Scholarship Award

Eligibility Requirements: 

o   African-American & LatinX Students

o   Freshman, Sophomore, Junior & Senior High School & College Students

o   Recent transcript, minimum 3.0 GPA. 

o   For GPA  2.99-2.50 (min.) two letters of recommendation from current teacher or counselor.

o   Signed Parental and/or Guardian Consent

o   Bio of 100 words or less

o   Headshot and/or fun selfie (NO professional photos, please)
